Flavio Renteria was born in Mexico City in
1964 to Antonio and Josefina Renteria and became part of a family of
six.
He came from a family of restaurateurs. His father was a founder of several restaurants and hotels in Mexico City and Acapulco. Flavio came to the U.S. in 1989 looking to learn more about the exciting world of extreme sports and trying to find himself in life. He did not plan to work in a restaurant, but is now an owner of a restaurant.
He began this career by working in a small Italian restaurant as a dishwasher and helping as a busboy, while getting established in Tustin. It didn't take long before he began to take a liking towards Italian food and the passion of creating art with foods. "Food is an expression of what you can eat."
Flavio soon began to dream of making a career in restaurants as his father had done. He took courses in Italian cuisine under the Italian chef and teacher, Alexander Ambrusso and even went as far as to travel to Italy to see first hand the Italian food and culture and returned very inspired. Flavio began to focus and visualize on how it would be to own a restaurant. After 20 years, he has accomplished his dream.

"I’ve opened my doors and welcome you all to my kitchen!!!"
